Every dollar matters—literally.
With each dollar you donate, Gleaners Food Bank can distribute eight pounds of food and critical grocery products. That’s the equivalent of six meals.
We make the most of your dollar because we’re efficient: 93% of all the resources we receive are used in our distribution of food and grocery products.
It all adds up to nearly 16 million pounds distributed annually—via more than 400 hunger-relief organizations serving thousands of Hoosier families, seniors and children.
Other ways to give money
Matching gifts. Through the Matching Gifts Program, employers can match employee gifts to Gleaners on a dollar-for-dollar basis. In other words, employees can double their gifts!
Planned/estate giving. Make Gleaners’ good work a part of your legacy. With a bequest in your will, you can help ensure that the Gleaners mission endures. A bequest could also offer generous tax advantages—and help your estate pass tax-free. Cash gifts, stocks, bonds and other property can be bequeathed.
Foundation and corporate grants. Throughout our history, grants have made a big impact inside and outside our facility. Thanks to corporations and foundations, Gleaners has added a 110,000-cubic-foot cooler and freezer unit, purchased warehouse equipment and implemented new projects such as Kids Cafe, BackSacks and the Prepared and Perishable Food Rescue Program. Grant money has also helped provide training and nutritional education to user charities—all while helping us distribute millions of pounds of food.
